I really tried to copy the LOST trailer that aired during the SUPERBOWL, except, you know...I couldn't get anyone to sing the JAMES part.. ;)

Warning...it's another sad one. No, I'm not at all depressed, but for some reason I find the Jossverse to be terribly tragic. I wonder why that is?

The vid is YOU ARE NOT ALONE from the Sondheim musical INTO THE WOODS. This is a song first vidded by Meeko/FFL. (whose site is down, unfortunately) She vidded it while BTVS was still on air, and chose to focus on the death of Buffy. (and Spike in BENEATH YOU) which was very effective and quite moving.

I found another version of the song recently, and I decided to give it a go. My vid has a completely different focus but the one thing that feels like copying Meeko is the Giants, since I had to think that Clem was the only one who was a good demony looking beast on Buffy. (We could have discussions on that..hmmm) On ATS, you had a great deal of good demons, and Lorne is definitely a thought, but since this is a BTVS vid, it didn't fit..

No doubt, I'll probably do other Sondheim vids, since Joss says he's a great influence on him, and frankly--you can tell.

This vid focuses on the similarities between Buffy/Spike and why they eventually bonded so tightly. It also touched on the alienation from the Scoobs and the CHOSEN ending.

Anyway, my next vid will either be an angry pissy one or a dooofy one. (I'm leaning toward finishing the doofy one) Then again, I've got a sad one in mind, so it will probably be that one. ;p

In my quest to keep our fandom alive and kicking...............

This song has great potential in so many ways (even if it is Retro) --and I tried it before but hated the vid and immediately retired it.

So, here we go again and I like this vid MUCH better. I wanted to show the Spuffy dance, and I think I possibly nailed it..um.....possibly.

So, I've done all my edits and what did we learn from all this?

There was quite a bit of discussion about how unfair it is that Spike is so special he always seems to get the short end of the stick. No prophecies or help from TPTB, little respect or friendship, and unsure about the various women he loved in his life.

So, the kids are playing their music and there is this one extremely touching song they play. It's about learning to accept yourself and it hit me that this just fits Spike and his story. Of course, it's a metaphor--or I could have done it to Lorne or Brainiac..

The way I see it, Spike doesn't really like who he is so he dons a leather coat, and struts about with attitude and snark. Although it's impossible, at times it seems he'd like to bury the sensitive part of himself. In the end of ATS, we see Spike accepting the sensitive poetic man that he is. It is a fitting way to leave him..

For me, Spike represents the misfit, the underdog and the survivor, who gets knocked down, picks himself up and brushes himself off.

I have made a video which is about Buffy/Spike's first contact after CHOSEN. I have to put a warning on this one, as the ending isn't lovey dovey at all as my others AU after NFA have been.. (See WEDDING BELL BLUES, SPIKE THE MOVIE or TAKE ME HOME if you want "happily ever after")

If you think about what Spike went through following CHOSEN and all the death/hardships while Giles ignored their pleas for help, (and Buffy moving on with another immortal) you can see Spike might have an unexpected reaction if she suddenly contacted him. (at least unexpected to Buffy)

Spuffy's first contact might be more like this video than the lovey dovey vids I've made, simply because they have always been quite a bit about misunderstanding and head butting. IMO, they are in love with each other, but nothing ever seems to come easy for them, and I doubt that would suddenly change considering how that last year went.

So, I got access to the CHANCE video from my good friend Molli, (Hugs and kisses)... After seeing CHANCE, I thought the song Fahrbot used for Spike/Drusilla fit them, and I finally got around to getting it finished.

James looks like "Spike" in this movie, but seriously, if all you knew was Spike, then you would wonder if he had a look-alike.. (Different accent, different body language, etc. etc.)

Marsters shows once again that he has chemistry with everyone and everything. Amber Benson is no exception here. The movie also has appearance by Andy Hallett (Lorne) and David Fury, but I don't include them in this particular video.

I had a time rendering this one, and finally found out it was a defective clip. I wanted it to be perfection, but time is running out and I wanted this to go out before Christmas. (Tommorrow and Christmas, I simply won't be here much at all)

Everyone who knows me well knows I'm having some financial hardship due to the whole family moving back in with us. (and we are supporting them until they get back on their feet)

It's funny that in the TV GUIDE Poll, Spike, Angel and Drusilla all get a mention in the best of the best, but not Darla. Why the lack of respect? She was kick ass awesome. (Personally, I think Benz has more sizzle with Boreanaz than Gellar did)
