isawien_gl You are the 300 person to friend this Journal! Throws confetti!!! They come and go, depending on how boring I am at the time, and you never know if Jamesy fandom will start dying. Apparently it's not, since our boy still sells out his tours, etc. Anyway, hopefully he'll get all kinds of fun things to do this year. (that we can talk about)

BTW, we won some awards for "BEST OF SPIKE" !! (thanks to Sunnydale stories and Poetry in Motion)

Also, got really good reviews for HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO..(although the quality isn't as good)

All this makes me want to start vidding again. I've even got Premiere Pro, now.. (Don't have a clue how to use it, but I have it.. :) )
Is there any books someone can recommend to help me along?

This one pretty much sets up next week's season finale, so although I can't say that it was thoroughly exciting, I also can't say that I didn't like it. I guess you could say it was fine. Or maybe, Fiiiine? Yes, James Marsters made another appearance, but it didn't happen until 25 minutes into the episode! Half the time he looked like Bo Duke, for heaven's sake. Even though it was great to see John Schneider, here's the thing: If you have Marsters on your roster, just use him. I think it'd even be OK if you overuse him. Because I feel like he's been just simmering for the entire season, with short bursts of Brainiac energy here and there. You certainly don't want him taking over the show that belongs to Clark and Lex, but sprinkling a little extra dash of Spike here and there never hurts.

Also, Kryptonsite has the spoilers and trailer up for next week's finale..

James is number nine in the movers. Since Erica Durance is also represented, there could be great interest in the finale of SMALLVILLE, and possibly the upfront things coming up in May. They are saying at Kryptonsite that SMALLVILLE will be ending on a cliffhanger.

I won in the themetastic round and SILENCE AND TEARS..(theme was St. Patrick's day, irish, etc) They use voice posts to judge their regular awards, and it's quite the hoot.

Yeah, I used the Millenium clips in this one. Speaking of which---Deb is doing a review similar to my BTVS/ATS one, except it's with all of James guest shots and movies. She did Millenium today, and if you haven't seen him in that show, you are missing something.

I love this video, I must admit it, even though I made it. It's a character study about Spike and Angel and their love/hate relationship with each other. It also runs a bit long and that's the main criticism of it. (but how do you get all THAT in a short vid?)



I also won one for my CHANCE vid LIFE LESS ORDINARY from FREAK NATION a bit ago..

In other news on the virus front---I'm getting this warning from my virus protector and wonder if this new alert for all of us is something that those of us who post pics/vids or whatever should be concerned about? Can anyone tell me exactly what this is and means?

A new vulnerability was found from many versions of Windows on 27th of December, 2005. This vulnerability allows an attacker to execute code on the user's system via a specially crafted WMF image file. There is no fix available from Microsoft for this vulnerability at the moment and it is actively exploited.
Microsoft is recommending a workaround of unregistering the Windows Picture and Fax viewer. This workaround has the downside that picture viewer will no longer start when you click on image files and thumbnails of pictures will not be shown in Windows Explorer.
Although F-Secure Anti-Virus detects known versions of exploit files, we recommend to use this workaround until the official Microsoft patch becomes available.

I racked up on some awards tonight, so YAY...

The first was best CROSSOVER and it was the (and I say it myself) haunting saga of the four vampires, called HOUSE OF AURELIUS. I don't think anybody loves or appreciates this vid the way I love this vid.. It's LONG, but it deals with the vampire family and some deep issues particularly with Drusilla.. I'm glad it got a little recognition, but I wish others saw it the way I did.

My second winning video was the tongue in cheek comedy of Andrew and Spike. Bless Spike, you can pair him with anyone and it works. What an incredible character he is and you gotta love James for putting everything into that role.

I'm feeling really blue now---I read a post by Texas Voodoo that it could be due to Wintertime coming and days getting shorter. I'm usually the optimistic one and everyone looks to me everywhere for that, but right now, I'm just...NOT.

Also, Have I won an award for best ATTEMPTED RAPE? When I saw those letters (and the way the message boards abbreviate it) that's the first thing I thought about. ( It's alternative Reality.)

I haven't watched SMALLVILLE yet, No James and he wasn't in the promo (or if he was it wasn't much)...

As for the Dresden stuff, Butcher has put up and taken down information (probably cause most of the people who replied were fans of James that weren't happy with the selection of the newest Dresden.) RHW says he's heard nothing, and I imagine neither is too pleased with Steve putting up the latest information. I don't know, there's differing opinions there on whether Steve was right or wrong in that. I appreciate it, but I don't know if what he did is going to help James much with the industry people.. (and I get that point)

BTW, if you haven't seen James' latest look that he was sporting in England, you are missing something. He is SMOKIN' right now in the looks department. Rorwwwwwwwwww. I think I didn't love the buzz cut, at all.
